I’m sure some of you remember my post last month about being pregnant with our third and final baby. We wanted 3 under 4 (my oldest will be 3 next month, 3.5 when baby was due) and then December babe. Perfect timing. Husband and I were overjoyed.

Well. I went for my first ultrasound yesterday and baby was measuring 2 weeks behind with no heartbeat. I go back in a week essentially to confirm the loss.

I’m not sure what I’m expecting out of this post. This is my first loss and I just feel broken. I never knew how truly physical sadness could be.

i am terribly sorry for your loss. Take time to grieve, and make time for your mental health. I still mourn the loss of my baby girl who was stillborn at 23W5d. I wish I could say it gets better, but for me I still think of her and talk to her every single day...This November will be 3 years. I got pregnant November 2023 and had the same experience at our first appointment. I miscarried over New Years. I was thrilled to be expecting in Augustt 2024 and have babies 20 months apart.

I’m so sorry you too have to go through this. Months later it’s still difficult for me to realize and understand.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My first pregnancy happened just like this, followed by another miscarriage, before I had my son. I'm due in June with my second boy. I still have many days where I think about how, once this baby is born, we could have had an almost 4 year old, almost 3 year old, 1.5 year old, and a newborn.

Take time to grieve. I'm so sorry.
